The Vernon Chamber of Commerce currently has 2 Open Board of Director Positions for the 2026 year. These are 3 year commitments. If interested please fill out the nomination form below. If there are more than 2 nominees, we will use your answers to questions 1-4 to submit to the Chamber Members to vote before our Holiday Party in December.

NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 11/19/25. ONLY CHAMBER MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR BOARD OF DIRECTOR POSITIONS.

The Vernon Chamber of Commerce represents a growing number of businesses in the Vernon community and surrounding area.

Being a member of the Chamber Board is a significant commitment that involves attending one monthly board meeting and participating and attending Chamber and community events.

This commitment brings great personal and professional benefits. Being a Board Member allows you to be actively involved in some of the most important issues facing our business community, and to give back to the community by contributing the knowledge and expertise you have developed through your professional and community involvement.

I agree to allow my name to be submitted for consideration of nomination to the Vernon Chamber of Commerce for possible election to the Board of Directors. I am willing to commit my time/ resources/ skills to the success of the Chamber.

If elected to the Board of Directors, I agree to do the following:

Follow the Vernon Chamber’s by-laws.
MUST ATTEND regular Board of Director Meetings on the 4th Wednesday of the Month at 6:00pm and special meetings may be required. Missing 3 or more meetings may result in termination of position.
Attend Chamber Member Meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the Month at 6:00pm. Attendance at most meetings is suggested.
Board Members are expected to attend as many Chamber functions as possible, including ribbon cuttings, grand openings, luncheons, mixers, and fundraiser events.
The term of office is three years, with option to renew for a second 3-year term.
Enter into full discussion and participation in policy decisions affecting the Chamber and the business community.
Maintain the confidentiality of all Board meetings.
Offer suggestions that may improve Chamber programs and internal operations.
