Vernon Chamber Street Fair Talent Show Rules

The Vernon Chamber of Commerce Talent Show will take place during the Vernon Street Fair on September 19, 2026 from 1:30 PM–2:15 PM.

The Talent Show is open to all ages and welcomes a variety of acts including singing, dancing, instrumental performances, comedy, magic, group performances, and other family-friendly talents.

Talent Show Rules:

• All performers must register in advance.

• Each act is limited to a maximum of 5 minutes.

• Performances may be solo or group acts.

• All performances must be family-friendly and appropriate for a community event.

• No profanity, explicit lyrics, inappropriate gestures, dangerous acts, weapons, fire, or other hazardous materials will be permitted.

• Performers are responsible for providing any props or special equipment needed for their act unless otherwise approved in advance.

• If your performance requires music, an instrumental track, or audio playback, please provide that information during registration.

• Performers should arrive early and be ready when called. Late arrivals may lose their performance spot.

• The Vernon Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to decline or stop any performance that is considered unsafe, inappropriate, or significantly different from the act described during registration.

• Performance order will be determined by event organizers.

• Space is limited and registration does not guarantee acceptance until your entry is confirmed.

• A parent or legal guardian must complete or approve registration for performers under 18.

Liability Waiver & Release

By submitting this registration, I understand that participation in the Vernon Chamber of Commerce Talent Show is voluntary and may involve risks associated with performing, physical activity, equipment, props, stage access, and participation in a public event.

I agree to assume responsibility for my own safety, or the safety of the minor participant for whom I am registering, and release and hold harmless the Vernon Chamber of Commerce, its officers, members, volunteers, event organizers, sponsors, and the Vernon Street Fair from claims, injuries, damages, losses, or expenses arising from participation in the Talent Show, except where prohibited by law.

I understand that submitting a registration form does not guarantee acceptance or a performance spot. Space is limited, and all acts are subject to review and approval by the Vernon Chamber of Commerce. Performance order and final participation decisions will be determined by event organizers.

I understand that acts must comply with all Talent Show rules, including the 5-minute time limit and family-friendly content requirements. The Vernon Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to decline, interrupt, or remove any act that is unsafe, inappropriate, disruptive, or materially different from the performance described during registration.

I also understand that photographs and video may be taken during the Vernon Street Fair and Talent Show and may be used by the Vernon Chamber of Commerce for promotional, social media, website, or community outreach purposes.
