Vernon Street Fair Karaoke Contest

Winners will be selected by the Karaoke Judges at the Street Fair. 🎤

• Open to all ages

• One entry per person

• $5 Donation per entry to be paid online at time of submitting form

• Groups of 2 or more are allowed (count as one entry), but individuals may not perform more than once

• Limited to the first 15 participants to sign up

• Entries must be submitted by 9/8/25 for contest inclusion

• Contestants must show up to the Entertainment Tent (in front of the Vernon Firehouse) at the Street Fair on 9/13/25 by 11:45am or forfeit their entry.

• Contestant order will be chosen at random.

• No song restarts.

• Song must be chosen in advance from our catalog selection at this link https://www.karafun.com/karaoke/ and entered on this form.

• Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Winners.

Winners are selected based on these criteria: Vocal Abilities - 50 points maximum

Rate the performer for overall vocal skills. Judging criteria include proper pitch, annunciation, ability to be heard and understood, balance, and ability to keep on beat.

Presentation & Showmanship - 35 points maximum

Rate performer for overall showmanship and performance ability. Presentation Criteria include posture, eye contact, poise, control, level of confidence. Showmanship Criteria include audience interaction, costuming and staying "in character" throughout performance.

Technical Skills - 15 points maximum

Rate performer for introduction prior to song, use of musical breaks and closing the performance (i.e. staying until the end of the song, thanking audience, etc.) Technical skills also include microphone technique and ability to engage online viewing audience as opposed to physically present viewers.

By submitting this form to the Vernon Chamber of Commerce for the 2025 Street Fair Karaoke Contest, I agree that I understand:

• Song selections must be family-friendly. The judges and organizers reserve the right to reject any performance deemed inappropriate.

• Decisions of the judges are final.

• Contestants must be present and ready when called, or they may forfeit their spot.

• Participation is at your own risk; the Vernon Chamber of Commerce is not responsible for injury or lost/stolen items during the contest.

• By signing up, participants agree to have their photo/video taken for promotional use.
